Since time immemorial man is attracted by caves, either as temporary or permanent shelter or as magical-religious site dedicated to the worship of the gods or incantation of enemies or even as the antechamber of hell or local activities associated with black magic, either also as a simple site that draws your attention and arouses curiosity, inviting a mere glance curiously at a sporting-visit tourist or a patient and thorough work of study and scientific research.
Being an activity dedicated to the study of caves, Caving is not limited to the technical aspects of the sports progression in caves.
By studying the genesis, evolution, the physical and biological world underground, the caving is also a technical-scientific discipline which is interconnected with sciences like geology, biology and anthropology.
Other techniques used are equally important and Photography, Surveying and Mapping, which complement the activity of the spelunker.
Then we have the component sports, the sporting aspect concerns primarily with techniques related to mountaineering and physical culture as it is necessary to overcome numerous obstacles and sometimes difficult when only a good physical strength, combined with a good knowledge of existing techniques, allows to overcome. So in this case the descent of wells, climbing walls and chimneys or progression in passages as examples.
The caving is an activity where any individual can participate without any problem since the stare with due seriousness, respect and expertise that it deserves and requires.
